Description:

Team Project

This was a team project created during my first year at Sheridan College in the Honours Bachelor of Game Design program. Our task was to create an app that used a series of advice cards called “RE+Minders” that offered help for dealing with stress. We also gathered user experience test data to improve the app.

Project Type:

Team School Project

Project Duration:

November 2019 to December 2019

Roles:

Developer; Tester;

Software Used:

Figma

We started by asking ourselves, “How do we get the cards into a user-friendly app?” and proceed to brainstorm possible solutions.

We then created rough drafts of the app’s design.

We decided upon making an app where the user would have to take care of a virtual flower garden, which we made analogous to tending to their mental and physical health.

Each time the user planted seeds and watered them, a flower would grow, and a corresponding card would be unlocked for the user to view.

The user would have multiple flower gardens, based on each category in the card kit (e.g., Your Body, Your Mind, Your Feelings, You & Them). Each garden would have a different type of flower to be grown as well to reinforce these categories.

Here is a demonstration of the project.
